What do we think then? Ring rust and age against the Russian but a big step up in class for Joshua,

I fancy AJ in 6 but wont be surprised to see this go the distance with AJ winning unanimously.

Yep, It should be about the fight itself not fake advertising.
When Ali did it it was funny and had never been done before, he messed with his opponents minds and I am certain he did it tongue firmly in cheek.
These days the build up to a fight seems so forced and ridiculous and the fight itself becomes almost secondary.
This fight build up was as if Boxing grew up which was refreshing to see, the fight was the main event.

AJ top bloke. Had hammers on his gloves in an earlier fight.

Pretty sure the oppo' have to sign/mark that they are happy with oppo's gloves/ties... so I imagine it was more to do with Mr SteelHAMMER... gotta admit I always thought AJ was a watford fan (being born there and good mates with Troy Deeney)

There have been plenty of good fights in recent years but last night's face up was, for me, the best heavyweight fight this century.

Easily the best fight since the Tyson era.

Whyte - Chisora was an entertaining slugfest, but that had nothing on this fight.

The 5th round was surreal. Klitchko looked out, then caught AJ and suddenly Joshua looked dead on his feet. How AJ hung on in the 6th I don't know, but he rode the storm and smasked WK in the 11th.

Both fighters were a credit. AJ is still learning but he hasn't shirked a challenge. None of the other so called chamipions would go near Klitchko, and Joshua will take them all.

Oh yeah, and Eerie Descent is being a dick.

Whyte v Chisora was a great fight - when was that?

Thought it was all over when Klitschko had AJ on the floor, he seemed to take his foot off the gas instead of finishing him off, maybe I just don't understand boxing.....

I find it odd that all the papers are saying 'British boxer, Anthony Joshua'. I don't remember them having to tell us that Frank Bruno or Lennox Lewis were British. Strange.

AJ has got the power to KO anyone, but he is not great, he'd have been dealt with by the top heavyweights of the past easily. Those Bruno legs will go against Wilder, and he's nothing too special. Fury beats him as well if he boxes right.

Totally agree, mate. I gave lost interest in boxing about 10 years ago, right about the time I got into the UFC. But that sport has been "McGregored" to fuck - everyone's a loud mouth looking for the big fights, and fair play to them, but it's boring to watch. Except McGregror. After seeing arseholes call themselves a badman and throw tables I thought I was fine with boxing forever. But fair play to these two. Let your skills speak for themselves, be gentlemen, then knock seven bells out of each other. Just shows that people will still watch. The rematch will kill at the box office and good luck to both of them!
